Job Description: Substitute Nature Explorers Teacher
Seeking Substitute Teachers to add to the On-Call List
Program Times: Tuesdays and Wednesdays 8:45 to 1:15pm, Mondays 8:45am to 3:15pm, Thursdays 9am to 1pm, and 2:45pm to 5:30pm
Substitute teacher work hours may vary within this timeframe, depending on the need.
Mission: Our mission is to help children connect with nature and themselves through exploration, play, and facilitating a respectful relationship with the earth.

Overview of a program day: Our programs include opening and closing circle with lessons, stories, and experiential activities. We include lots of free play in nature, as well as group games. Children also have snack and lunch during tutorial days which they provide.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 5 professional years working with children
Experience in and comfort in outdoor environments, and in all seasonal elements of Nashville weather
Comfort with and tact when speaking with parents of students
Comfort and experience with written communication
Conflict resolution skills
Understanding of a whole-child approach when handling challenges with children
Pass a background check
First Aid and CPR certified, or will become so before working at NE
Interest in growing with our company if we are a good fit
Preferred Qualifications
Passion for nature and being outdoors
Understanding and value of diversity
Experience working professionally with children 5-12 years old
Schedule flexibility
